Development of material obtained by extraction-pyrolytic technique for electrodes of lithium-ionic cells

Thin film materials LiCoO2, LiCoNixO2, LiCoBixO2, LiCoFexO2 was prepared by extraction-pyralytic technique. Their properties were studied by DTA, electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Atomic absorption spectroscopy, IR-spectroscopy an cyclic time-voltage measurements. We established that receiving materials have well electrochemical characteristics. Extraction-pyralytic technique can be recommended as a perspective technique for thin film lithium batteries production.

The analysis of the empirical relationships describing the discharge of alkaline accumulators

It is shown that at small discharging currents for any nickel-cadmium (NC) accumulator the empirical relationship by Khaskina- Danilenko is true and at large discharging currents the relationship by Shepherd is correct. These two relationships don't contradict each other but supplement each other, as they are true for any NC accumulator, each in its interval of discharging currents.

The investigation of the process of heat acceleration in nickel-cadmium accumulators

It has been established experimentally that during the heat acceleration a great amount of hydrogen is given off from nickel-cadmium accumulators.

Effect of sulfur electrode composition on cycling life of Li-S cells

Effect of positive electrodes composition of lithium-sulfur cells on them cycling life was studied. It is shown that the sulfur content in electrodes does not essential influence on the charge-discharge performance, decrease of capacity during cycling life and cycling efficiency of sulfur electrodes, but strongly influences on the internal resistance of lithium- sulfur cells.

Synthesis and electrochemical properties of LiCo1 – x – yMgxTiyO2 (0 ? x ? 0.036; 0 ? y ? 0.026)

At present LiCoO2 is commercially available material for positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries. For further improvement of its properties a number of doped samples of lithium cobaltite were synthesized. Mg and Ti were used as dopants. Crystal structure of LiCo1 – x – yMgxTiyO2 was studied with XRD, whereas chemical composition was determined with atomic absorption spectroscopy, complexometric titration as well as inductively-bonded plasma. The average initial discharge capacity amounted to 145 to 150 mA·h/g.

The reseiption of composite protective coat for aluminium and their alloys by reversal galvanostatic method

This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(r) Pro* First pilot samples of composite sheetings based on various metallic matrixes (Al, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni) and ceramic fillers ((Al2O3, Cr2O3, MnO2, Fe3O4, NiO, AlN etc.) were obtained by means of the reverse galvanostatic technique.

Calculation of capacity given by sealed nickel-cadmium accumulators at different discharging currents

It is has been shown that the generalized Peukert equation gives the best result when calculating the capacity given by sealed nickel-cadmium accumulators at different discharging currents.

Development of technological principles for designing a valve-regulated Ni-MH battery of the NMG type

The results of the design of a fully-tight Ni-MH battery of the NMG type are presented. The authors have developed a spread technique of making both negative and positive electrodes with sheet foam nickel as a conducting support. The influence of the density of both charging and discharging current and the discharge temperature on the discharging characteristics of the power source was studied.

Electrophysical properties of non-stoichiometric lithium-iron magnesium-substituted spinels

Samples having the chemical formula Li0.5 Fe2.5 – x MgxO4 (0 ? x ? 1) were prepared by the standard ceramic method. The parts of the dielectric constant ?', ?'' and A.C. conductivity ?(?) are measured at different frequencies from 10 – 2 to 105 Hz in the room temperature and different cooling velocity, and then the dielectric loss tangent tg ? was calculated. The sample with x = 0.1 what was cooled quickly showed the greatest values of ?0 as compared with the other samples.
