Effect of properties of carbon materials on specific energy and cycling of lithium-sulfur batteries

The effect of the structure and the specific surface area of carbon materials, contained in positive electrodes, on the peculiarities of cycling of lithium-sulfur cells (the depth of electrochemical reduction of sulfur and lithium polysulfides, the changes in capacity and Coulomb efficiency of cycling) was studied.

Pyrolized polyacrylonitrile as a feasible electrode material for electrochemical power sources

In the current paper electrospun nanofiber mats were derived from polyacrylonitrile (PAN). The temperature influence on the volumetric and surface composition of the resulting pyropolymers was studied by means of elemental analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

Lithium-ion capacitor with carbon-based electrodes

The present article considers work principle of lithium-ion capacitor (LIC) and methods of negative electrode pre-lithiation. The effect of application of different active materials of positive and negative electrodes, electrolyte and separator on the specific power and energy of LiC is shown.
