Abstract:

The influence of lithium on capacity of positive nickel electrode was investigated during the exploitation of a tight nickel-cadmium accumulator. The main effect of lithium was found to deal with the surface sorption of oxygen by the active mass of the positive electrode that leads to sufficiently high extravoltagc of molecular oxygen formation. This effect allows low pressure of gas in a system to be kept and possibility a charge tip to be carried out a level equal oxidation degree about 0,7-0,8,
The mathematical model is given for the description of functional correlation Li/Ni(2+) =f(СО), where OD – oxidation degree of nickel.
