Supercapacitors produced by industrial companies

The review of modern scientific and technical literature on supercapacitors produced by industrial companies is presented. The advantages of supercapacitors compared to batteries are: high power density, high cycleability, the ability to operate at extreme temperatures from –50 to +60°C, energy efficiency up to 100% and the ability to charge in a very short time.

Modeling of Characteristics of Lithium-Sulfur Batteries Based on Experimental Evaluation of Electrochemical Properties of Electrode Materials

To model the characteristics of lithium-sulfur batteries based on the experimental evaluation of the electrochemical properties of electrode materials, the software "Battery Designer", included in the software package “ElChemLab”, was developed. The possibilities of software are described. The specific energy of lithium-sulfur batteries is compared for different surface capacitances of a positive electrode and for different amounts of electrolyte.

Cathode material based on LiNi_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Co_(1/3)O? and activated carbon for hybrid energy storage

The structure and specific electrochemical characteristics of a mixed cathode material based on ground LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 (NMC111) and highly porous activated carbon YEC-8B were studied. The mixed material containing 35 wt. % NMC111 and 65 wt. % YEC-8B (based on the mass of active materials), has a specific capacity ?70% higher in comparison with the cathode material based on pure coal YEC-8B.
