Abstract: 

Low-temperature test was held to determine the discharge characteristics of battery cells with the purpose to specify the requirements to electrode materials and electrolyte used in cylindrical nickel metal hydride battery cells of AA standard size that fit for work at negative temperatures. The analysis of comparison test results of AA standard size cylindrical battery cells depending on chemical composition of electrode active mass, specific features of production as well as concentration, composition and electrolyte capacity at negative temperatures is presented in the paper.
