polyaniline

Physico-chemical fundamentals of development of air-metal batteries with a polyaniline catalysts

The possibility for using of polyaniline (PAN) is investigated as the catalyst for oxygen reduction in Air – Metal batteries with Zn, Al and Mg anodes. The achieved characteristics of systems "O2(PAN)-Zn" and "O2(PAN)-Mg" allow one to consider their as the perspective systems for substitution of existing MnO2-Zn and air – metal batteries in some fields of practical application.

Electrooxidation of Formic Acid at Nanostructural Composites of Palladium and Polyaniline

A kinetics of formic acid anodic oxidation at electrodes consisting from composites of palladium with polyaniline is studied. It was found that the contact of palladium with polyaniline does not result in the electrocatalytic activity enhancement, that differs such composites from composites of palladium with polyelectrolytes.
