Development of a carbon material for negative electrode of lithium-ion battery
The suitability of a number of individual carbon materials for making lithium-ion battery anodes has been examined, their electrochemical activity in the reaction of reversible lithium intercalation from solutions of LiClO4 and LiPF6, in solvents based on propylene carbonate, dimethoxyethane, ethylene carbonate, and diethyl carbonate has been studied. A similar study was made on composite electrodes consisting of two carbon components. An optimal composition of the carbon material, promising for usage in lithium- ion batteries, has been found.
